The SEO Challenge:
CWorld engaged seo2go to help them achieve the search engine rankings their site and brand deserved. We sat down with them to find out how their business operated and together we determined that two important SEO areas they needed to improve on were:
- High Conversion Keywords
- Local Search
High Conversion Keywords:
When choosing keywords, we look for keywords that are going to attract a visitor that is more likely to purchase a product. In this example we optimised the keyword “Buy Laptop”.
When we first started to optimise CWorld for the keyword “Buy Laptop”, they did not rank in the first 10 pages Google search results. With the combination of On-page and Off-page optimization techniques, they are currently holding the 1st position in Google.
Below is a screen shot of their Google analytics for the keyword “Buy Laptop”. It is obvious to see that they did not receive any visitors for this keyword before we provided our SEO Services, and the number of visitors from this keyword is continuing to rise.
Since October 2010 we have been optimising dozens of similar keywords for CWorld and we are continuing to build their online presence.
When searching on Google, I am sure you have seen a search results page that includes map listings. These map listings are a great way to get to the first page of Google, even if your website is not listed on the first page. Cworld’s map listing aka Google Places page was not ranking well and because of this was not appearing in the search results for local searches such as “Laptop Melbourne”. This was due to the Google Places page not being optimised. In February 2011, we evaluated CWorld’s Google Place page and as part of our SEO Services, did a complete update to the contents. Within a week, the number of impressions of their Google Places page had reached 50 per day and by early March 2011 they were getting about 100 impressions per day. Below is a screenshot of their Google Place page analytics. Update: They are now ranked number 1 for “Laptop Melbourne”
